There are a few things that a vessel owner should do to make their vessel more presentable for selling. Vessels with good dockside appeal usually take less time to sell and command a higher price. Time spent prior to placing the vessel on the market can make selling your boat a much easier process.
Clean up the galley, cabin and all living quarters.
Fix all leaking hoses and fittings
Apply paint to areas in need
Remove excess oil and grease from the engine room, bilge and decks
Replace broken hardware
Remove unnecessary wires and obsolete or inoperative electronics
Remove all trash
Remove all unnecessary gear and equipment
In general pay attention to the above and it should make it much easier to show and ultimately sell your vessel.
